Whatever has brought you to this place, welcome.

I believe each one of us has the capacity and resilience to live a full and meaningful life, in spite of painful, hurtful and traumatic experiences; but we need a space and place where the unbearable feelings that have been sequestered can be expressed, shared, and understood -opening new paths and new possibilities for richer and deeper meaning in our lives.

Often, our most legitimate feelings are minimized, denied, and dismissed by others or even by ourselves because they are feelings too painful to bear. We develop unique patterns of behavior to ward off those feelings but the patterns keep us from living fully and authentically.

Moving from painful, entrenched personal issues to a more authentic way of being isn’t something we can do in isolation. We have blind spots that keep us from being able to take in the whole of our experience. We need one another to identify, mirror, and reflect that which cannot or has not been recognized and shared. An attentive and attuned other can help you understand yourself beyond your own ability to do so.

The process of therapy can be a crucial part of your self-discovery and life journey; it takes courage, honesty and humility to travel through such a course as this.   I am privileged to walk alongside you and help you grow beyond the places you have felt disheartened, discouraged, and convinced that expansiveness and growth were out of reach. Whatever keeps you from living a rich, integrated life therapy provides a profoundly relational context for the integration of emotional expansiveness, human understanding, and a growing capacity to bear life’s inevitable trials.
